Unable to activte iPhone 5 after IOS 9.3 update

I selected to update to IOS9.3. After it installed, I cannot seem to get past the Activate iPhone. I am prompted one Apple ID in parenthesis but that is not my Apple ID. When I enter my correct Apple ID and password, I am told I cannot use that email to unlock the phone??
