Same problem for me.

I noticed that the issue may be in relation with google search, since it looks like to work much better by setting the default search engine to "bing" in the Safari options.

However ... as I understood, the default search engine setting for the iPhone (6s+ with IOS 9.3) is still Google Search : when I try to look for something by pulling down the icones for using the iPhone search line, the web links display in the group "suggested Web sites" still do not open.

Thanks a lot in advance for an answer

Hi,

Same problem for me, I've tried safari and chrome browsers: changing settings for the search engine (set bing for both browsers) and it works;

another bypass I tried is the request of desktop site, it works, but only for the current link

switch off javascript works, but many sites like press using that so in their pages navigation is "bad"

I am "patiently sitting on the bank of the river", waiting for a solution of the bug from Apple ... hopefully soon

bye,

Hi,

To get Safari working, only for Safari (as far as I know).

Further to my update on Saturday I have again been in touch with Apple Support.

This is what cured my Safari :

It looks like this problem occurs on "older" devices.

1. Just make sure you have the 9.3 update loaded.

2. Back up your device and sync in iTunes on your computer. Eject from computer.

3. When done go to Go to Settings (on your device), then scroll down the apps and click on Safari.

4. Go to bottom of page and click on Advanced, then switch off Javascript.

5. Come out of settings and do a hard reset (this will not loose data), i.e. press home button and on/off button together until screen goes black AND apple logo re-appears. Then let go. Device reboots.

6. Safari should now work.

7. I have no idea what Javascript does other than allows interaction on some websites e.g. puzzles, questionnaires. - but i could be wrong! If you can manage without this you should be ok.

This worked on my partners older iPad and my iPhone 5.

* I have not had any email problems, so do not know if this will help email.

I have iPhone 6, the only thing that worked so far was changing to bing, but had to leave javascript on otherwise it did not work. However, followed all other tips, I still can't get any links out of my e-mail to work, the mail app freezes and I have to shut it down if it does not crash by itself (which also happens...). Let's hope the come out with bug fix update sooooooon!
