Device: iPad Air

I've just done a factory restore without a iCloud restore and worked ok to ensure that it wasn't just the update that have broken the iOS in total. I performed a reset again and restored from back up and can surf the internet with the links on google. For the moment I will test the same with my iPhone 6 and see if it rectify the issue. After i have done this i will update everyone.

This failure in quality assurance and testing before deploying 9.3. is near to unacceptable!

It's not just links in safari and mail, that cause freeze or crashes on all my iOS-Devices.

Several popular newsreaders (e.g Reeder, Feedly) or other apps, where you can open/forward links/pages to other apps/browsers are freezing/crashing not just when hitting a link but as well when invoking "open in...".

In many cases and different app scenarios, the only and tedious workaround is to copy the link (happily this works in most cases without crashing) and then paste it into a "non safari based" browser (opera works).

Since most of my apps used for "information retrieval workflows" cannot be used because of this silly bug, my iOS-Devices are more or less useless with iOS 9.3.

This has to be urgently and immediately fixed and I expect a much better Quality Assurance from Apple next time !!!

UPDATE:

IPHONE 6

I restored my iPhone back to factory defaults and restored the backup from iCloud and the strange thing is that the iPhone is working but safari seems to be stuck in no javascript mode even when i check it says it on. I have updated apps and still not replicated the previous issue with safari with the links not working.

hope this helps.

I have the same problem with my Iphone 6 and the new operating system. Went to apple store and after quite a few attempts at fixing it, they suggested I back up my phone and do a full restore. Did what they suggested and still the same issue. Went back to store and now the associate told me that it is a big problem that they are aware of and there is no current fix. They said there was possible link to the problem and Booking.com app. But removing the app still does not fix the issue. I was told to wait it out till apple comes up with a fix. REALLY ????

What a desaster! My iPad Pro is not usable since

= no hyperlinks work with Safari

= no hyperlinks work with Mail

= reduced performance with Skyfire. Links sometimes work using "open new tab"

= switching from Google to Bing doesn't help

= deleting booking.com doesn't help

= constant trouble with Bluetooth devices. Especially keyboard when switching to us-keyboard setting

= JavaScript trouble

FIX IT FAST, PLEASE. Very bad job!

IInstalling Chrome did not help. Reeder has become unusable, Sadari and Mail too!

Does Apple think that releasing rotten updates will serve them??? I am with them for 25 years and have seen quite a lot of problems, but honestl, what's going on in this company is getting a pain.

Tim Cook should be working his a... off fixing this rather than entertaining the press with blabla

One more year and this will be the end, a real shame!
