Consequences of enabling Low Power Mode

Low Power Mode restricts certain functions like background app refresh in order to conserve battery life. I thought I would list all of the restrictions I've found that Low Power Mode imposes, and others are of course free to add on if I missed any.

Background App Refresh is disabled

Mail will not fetch new mail automatically

Brightness is lowered (the max brightness is lower than with LPM off)

The battery percentage gauge cannot be turned off

Night Shift (iOS 9.3 and later) cannot be enabled

I read on one site that Live Photos will not animate in Low Power Mode, but I have been able to do so without issue so I don't think LPM impacts Live Photos at all.

I also recently discovered that Auto-Lock is set to 30 seconds and cannot be overridden while LPM is on.

And probably My Photo Stream will not stream, as it requires the iPhone being charged.

Actually I just tried enabling Low Power Mode, took a photo on a different device, and it still showed up in My Photo Stream.

However, there is one other thing I noticed, and that is you cannot use "Hey Siri" unless plugged into the charger. When Low Power Mode is off, the iPhone 6S can use "Hey Siri" without being plugged in.

I think I will do just that. I was going to update this thread now that iOS 9.3.2 supports enabling Low Power Mode and Night Shift at the same time, but a User Tip will be a lot easier to manage/update.
