Q: Downloaded new iOS, notes did not update?
Hi there,
So I just downloaded the new OS X el capitain on my macbook pro, and something strange happened to my "notes" app. Everything was fine at first, but from my ipad I organized notes by sorting them into folders all within the "icloud" tab. After changing the settings on my iphone 5, the notes synced and appeared the same way on my iphone as on my ipad, which was great. However, for some reason they will not sync with "notes" on my macbook, even though from "system preferences" and "notes" --> "accounts" I have checked and unchecked the "notes" box for my icloud account. I even tried shutting down and turning on my computer again. I tried writing a test note from my macbook to see if it would show up on other devices and it did not. Newly created notes from my other devices also don't show up on my macbook. The other strange thing I noticed is that the notes app on my macbook is missing a lot of the buttons that it usually should have, for example the delete button from the previous iOS. (it displays the "create new note" button, and the share button only). It also doesn't have the new features such as the "checkmark" feature. So it seems like this is not so much a syncing issue but more of an app issue from my computer? I checked the app store several times to see if I was missing any updates for notes, but it seems to say that everything on my macbook is up to date currently.
Also, another detail is that it responds to some changes, such as when I UNchecked syncing notes from my 2 gmail accounts, which no longer show up in the menu, so that was good.
Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.
