Q: Virtual Box Version - Tiny Display Screen

How to Run Windows 10 on Mac 100% FREE (Yosemite / El Capitan)

This is a copy of the letter I wrote to the gentleman who made the above video.

Do any of you have any idea if there is a solution to my problem?

Hello Daniel - I downloaded Windows 10 according to the tutorial. It seems to work fine except for the fact that I have a 27" 5K Retina iMac and the display size is a measly (8 X 8)'. I have to scroll all over the place just to see the full extent of a window's contents. I am used to having ALL of the iMac's display functional. Why is Windows only giving me such a tiny workspace?

Are you asking us to help you with configuring a pirated version of Windows? If so you will have to go elsewhere. If you are asking about a legal copy of Windows installed with a virtual machine, ask the maker of the virtual machine how to use and configure their product.

I have given you a link to the YouTube site that gave the instructions on how to get Windows on to the Mac.

Check out the video - is following the procedure that he is giving us pirating?

He implies that it is not.

Using VirtualBox to install and run Windows is a legal and often used method of using Windows on a Mac. There is nothing illegal about that. If you can get a legal version of Windows from Microsoft free then go for it. But if you are getting Windows free from some other site be wary.

Assuming your version of Windows is legal, your issue is related to VirtualBox or Windows. When running in a virtual machine virtual hardware is created and used. Contact the VirtualBox help site or a Windows help site to work out your issue. The problem has nothing to do with your Mac.
