Q: Why did my messages all of the sudden start working on my iPad?

I Just updated to iOS 9.3 on my iPad Air, previous to this I couldn't nor did I want to send text messages from it, now all of the sudden I can. It is not merged/synced. Why did this start with the update?

Hi Jengamarie,
If you do not want to use Messages on your iPad, you can sign out of the app.
Sign in with a different Apple ID on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Messages

Tap Settings > Messages.

Tap Send & Receive.

Tap your Apple ID, then tap Sign Out.
