Have you tried these steps? If iTunes doesn't recognize your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

EXACT same problem. Same iPhone, same iOS. It literally was recognizing it up until I updated iTunes. I've been fussing with it for the last hour and a half. It is extremely frustrating. Also, I tried the steps on their website and they don't work or apply to me.
Exactly this.
Few days ago itunes recognised my iphone and ipad, since updating itunes it won't recognise any.
Do they even test these updates before release?
Just faced the same problem - for Windows 10 latest iTunes 12.3.3.17 won't recognize my iPhone 6s. All these manuals from Apple support don't work. Nothing happen. Can't update content on my device - much frustrating!
Same problem for me. Neither my IPad nor my IPod is recognized by ITunes since I updated ITunes earlier this week.
The problem was that microsoft installed their own usb driver for iphone and ipad. You will manually need to update the apple usb driver after you plug your device in. I went to control panel, device manager , apple usb driver and did an update

Yes, Thank really works! Thank you
Thanks, bmolinelli, excellent response. Both my devices are now detected by ITunes.
I did this also but it came back saying the best driver was already installed on my computer.so still unable to connect iPhone to iTunes or back up my I phone6
What is really funny is the steps to install or update to Apple Moblie Device Driver are all in that article I link at the top. If you all would just read it, that would fix your issue. It talks about device manager and everything.
Nope, that's slightly different.
I followed instructions in article, that you mentioned on top - but had no luck.
The second link by TS was really helpful. The key different - you have to install drivers from Apple directory, but not update them automatically
Nope, none of this works whatsoever. At all. As soon as I installed the new iTunes 12.3.3.17 on Win10 Pro, running 9.3 on 6s Plus, iTunes would not recognize the phone, despite (1) 3 minutes earlier the prior version of iTunes recognized the phone and the phone synced perfectly -- same USB port, same USB-lightening cable, and so on; and, (2) the iPhone gives a window asking whether to allow the device to access photos and videos.
Win10 Pro no longer sees any Apple device under its Universal Serial Bus menu -- pace Apple's help page that does not help, and which already found prior to this post. This is an Apple software issue that may be solved by manually updating the driver, but Apple first has to solve the bug that Win10 Pro shows no Apple device to update. (Once again, prior to 12.3.3.17 -- a matter of 3 minutes -- all synced perfectly with the prior version of iTunes.)
Thank you!!!... It worked for me!!!...
i followed the steps to update driver but it says that MTP usb device is working properly
I keep getting the same message window.Tried to have a chat session it says we will be with you in about 2 minutes but no one comes on line.
