Q: 10.11.4 Safari freeze

Hi,

I have a MacBook Pro Retina 13" Mi-2015 since November and I didn't have any problems since the new El Capitan 10.11.4.

Indeed, Safari freeze randomly when I click on tabs and also freeze the entire computer. I can only hard reboot my Mac ...

Someone also have this problem ?

Thanks.

(Sorry, english is not my mother tongue)

It is tied to 10.11.4 update. I cloned back my system to 10.11.3 using SuperDuper! and no freezing problems.

"Geniuses" won't do anything since they know that Apple will fix the problem, but not even the 10.11.5 final, so 3 months.

IOS had problems too with 9.3 update with hypertext links.Fixed 3 days later

But it is IOS, and iPhones are best sellers than all macs models together ^^

Seems like OSX is not really their priority

If your Macbook Air has the problem, does it show Intel Iris Graphics when you do about this Mac? We're looking for a common denominator here, and that might be it. Does anyone know the graphics on MBA? I don't.

Sure. IF you have the 10.11.0 full installer. You can install that, then use the 10.11.3 combo updater on the Apple pages to get back to 10.11.3,

Download OS X El Capitan 10.11.3 Combo Update

    BUT.....

fscking Apple has deleted the 10.11.0 installer. If you go looking for it via, uh, unofficial channels, you can find the 10.11.0 full installer, but somehow Apple detects that you got it "somewhere else". If I could get/find/borrow/beg/steal the 10.11.0 installer, I'd roll back to 10.11.3 today.

The rollback to 10.11.3 can be done, I think, with time machine, and preserve your current user files. See a post of mine earlier in this thread. However, I haven't done this (yet) and I don't know anyone who has.

Thank you for the information, but I think it's a very hard process for me. I don't know why apple simple fix this issue.

    I'm having the same problem.

A restart fixed the problem but it's a pain having to save everything I'm working on.

    OS X 10.11.4

Same problem for me with all the above. Usually once every two or three days. I always leave the Mac on and usually do a restart about once a week. I've started logging out and in again at the end of the day to see how that goes.

    21.5 inch iMac, Late 2015.

Processor 2.8 GHz Intel Core i5

    Memory 16GB

Graphics Intel Iris Pro Graphics 6200 1536MB

    Fusion Drive

and of course El Capitan 10.11.4

Didn't work. Crashed again. It seems like there's nothing you can do!

Same here - freezing, once it froze at login screen (before doing anything) even.

Just few minutes ago using Safari - Youtube.

Also, 10.11.4 might have issues with memory leaks / management - getting 'disk full' warnings all too often in relation to opened apps, large swap on disk.

    On 10.11.3 - no issues.

MBA, current one (Early 2015), Intel HD 6100, 8GB RAM, i5.
