Airdrop not working

i had macbook air mid 2013 and iphone 6 plus. tried all the options but airdrop not working. lots of complaints are there but apple is not listiing and not done any thing. they dont care. just releasing new products and old customer left with their problems.

It is not clear whether you are seeking help, or just trying to complain.


If you're seeking help, it would be much easier to help you if we knew many more specifics about your situation. "tried all the options" tells us nothing at all.

Hi BhaskarPune,


After none of my iOS devices showed up on my Mac for AirDrop tonight, I spent almost 2 hours trying all different kinds of fixes mentioned on the internet until I found one solution all by myself that now works consistently for me:


1. Switch off both WiFi and Bluetooth on both the sending and the receiving devices

2. Switch on AirDrop via the Airdrop window on a Mac or via the swipe-up menu on an iOS device, respectively; this will automatically activate WiFi and Bluetooth again
