Q: Recently some jpg files display as wild pixilated patterns in Safari
MacBook Pro (13-inch, Late 2011)
2.8 GHz Intel Core i7
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3
Intel HD Graphics 3000 384 MB
Yosemite 10.10.5
Safari Version 9.0.3 (10601.4.4
This started happening within the last week or two. No problem before that.
Some but not all jpg files don't display properly in Safari. The images are broken into patterns of color and may even spread across the entire screen. They may have many little broken but identifiable copies of the image as if through an insects eye along with patterns of colors and shapes or they may just be patterns of colors and shapes. They may be within the image container or they may be spread across the entire screen. I'd say right now it does this with maybe 20% of the jpg files I try to display. The rest of them are just fine. If I download the file it displays fine in the picture viewer or by any other method of viewing.
