Rear Camera, Flash, and Flashlight Unresponsive

Hello all. About two weeks ago, my rear camera stopped working along with flash and the flashlight. My iPhone 5S says it's too hot to use the flashlight and whenever I try to use the rear camera it only shows black. If I try to use it, it will freeze any app I'm on, whether it be Snapchat or the camera app itself. My front facing camera works fine however. Miraculously, everything started working just fine again a few days ago and now has stopped working again. I'm getting quite frustrated with this. I've restarted my phone numerous times and have tried the low power mode method a number of times. I'm stuck and would greatly appreciate any tips/ advice anyone could give me on how to fix this problem. Thank you!!

My rear camera started freezing a year ago. Sometimes I would get a split screen with part being frozen picture and other solid pink. Then screen started freezing, sometimes black screen. I could switch to front camera, but most often when I switched back to rear facing, I would get an error symbol where the flash icon is. It would tell me the flash was disabled and needed to cool down. (No reason for it to have been heated.) Tried every suggestion out there. One by one, hoping to find what actually fixed it (if it ever fixed it!!!). Finally went into Privacy...Location Services...Camera. Changed my setting from "While using" to "Never", and then powered down. Turned phone back on, went back to Location Services and reset it to "While using". Rear camera works, flash works, can switch front to back, etc.

Hope this helps somebody. Best wishes!
