Macbook Pro camera distorted

Hi!

So this has been a problem for a year or so. After a system update, it started working again, but then suddenly stopped without any explanation. At first its easy to believe that there is a hardware problem, but the fact that it actually started working again after an update doesnt support this theory. Its the same in Photobooth, Skype or any program you try to use.

Have a look at the attached picture. Any solutions or suggestions?

Carl

Hardware problem. Contact Apple or an Apple-Authorized Service Provider to have your Mac professionally serviced.

The fact that it actually started working again identifies your trouble an intermittent hardware problem. Intermittent faults are harder to track down and diagnose, so ask how long you should expect to leave your Mac for its repair.

Be sure to backup your Mac and deauthorize iTunes before tendering it for service.
