Problem replacing iPhone 5 housing

Hi guys. I'll make this quick. This is not the first time replacing an iPhone 5 housing and I've got an annoying problem with remounting the power button. I've got to the point when I have to reattach the power button and put the screw back in the hinge. Thing is I can't get the **** thing to properly fit, whichever way I fit the button inside when I close the hinge the power button remains stuck (it won't press). I tried flipping the button, flipping the metal spacer (since it's slightly bent on one side), putting the spacer upwards, downwards, feels like I tried everything. I completely dismantled the iPhone in 10 minutes and I've been trying for almost 2 hours just to put the **** power button back. Mind you, the power button flex cable is brand new and the button is clicking perfectly so it's not a hardware issue. I must be doing something wrong and I'm not sure what is it. Already tried all the tutorials on the internet. Nobody actually gives proper instructions on how to reassemble the iPhone/power button back. Any kind of help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
