I use an IMac. How can I tell if I am online or offline?
Mac Pro, Mac OS X (10.7)
Try using a browser to get to a common website like apple.com
If the browser displays the site - you are online
If it says cannot connect to the internet - you are offline
I get lost over there. I see "gray" sometimes on either online or offline and I don't know what it means.
go to https://www.google.com - type in Tim Cook - see if the results show up - if they do - you are online
