Home sharring is only going one way... from my PC laptop to my MacBook Pro

Both computers have Home Sharing activated, both are signed in with my ID, both are using latest version of iTunes, but the PC never generates the HOME SHARE icon in the upper left corner.

Network is working and I have no problem importing from the PC to the MacBook...

Hello Allen,

I can get home sharing to work just fine ... BUT ONLY from the PC to the Mac... the problem is going from the Mac to the PC. For some reason even if I do everything right (and believe me, I had looked at the page in the link you provided long before I posted here), the home sharing icon in the upper left never shows up on the PC, so it can never find the Mac.

Again, all the steps have been taken... apple id is signed in on both computers... home sharing on... connection is good... latest version of iTunes is in place and working... I have been doing home sharing for years with my other computers, but that was always Mac to Mac. This is a problem related to the PC not being able to read or see (let alone import from) the Mac.
