Hyperlinks in safari not working - how to fix
The hyperlinks in Safari do not work. I upgraded to iOS 9.3. I have an I-pad air. Can anyone help or is this an Apple update gremlin?

There seems to be a bug or glitch with safari. Last I knew there was no fix beyond waiting for Apple to fix things. You can use another browser in the meantime and use that as a work around. I use Atomic but you can look for a browser in the app store that looks good to you and use that.
You might try to hold your finger down on the link until you see the 'copy' popup come up then paste that link into the navigation bar of Safari and see if that allows you to follow links.
Thanks for this. Holding the button just freezes the screen. Surprised there has been no Apple announcement. I tried Firefox but the problem was the same. But maybe if I open it outside Safari it will work. Thanks for the suggestion.
Until Apple has a solution I'm using
1.- CloudMagic as my main email client. Manage 4 email accts and use Mail to clean Junk & Trash, just easier for me.
2.- Chrome and Mercury as my main browsers (in CM you can choose Chrome instead of Safari for the links) ,
3.- Fantastical as my suplementary calendar and
4.- TunnelBear as my VPN connector.
This has been working >90% for over a month so have made my iPad Mini 4 useable again until, perhaps sometime this year, Apple fixes iOS.
Cheers
Andres
Another workaround that some users have had luck with is to turn off JavaScript in Safari. Use the Settings app.
Settings > Safari > Advanced > JavaScript > Tour it off
Try Safari again and see if the links work.
Thanks Ralph, but it did not work. I hope this is a priority for Apple. I travel and need my i-pad to research on the go and not having links that work is a very big pain.
Thanks Andres. I have tried other browsers but the same happens. I am stuck, but txs again for responding.

Hello Andtheysaiditwaseasy,
Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!
From your question, I understand that hyperlinks are not behaving as expected after updating to iOS 9.3. We know how frustrating situations like this can be and we want to make sure your devices are working as expected.
iOS 9.3.1 was recently released. Performing this update should resolve this situation.

Thank you everyone who had suggestions. In the end I had to wait for the update and the links are now working.
