I Have an IPad Pro with only wifi on it and ever since I upgraded to IOS 10 my wifi continuously goes off and on. This never happened before the update. Now I have an $800 paperweight that I need to fix somehow. It's not even a year old

My workaround was as said in earlier post, turn on airplane mode, then turn off after wifi turns itself on.

I Have a stable wifi now, I had to restore via iTunes on computer and re download iOS 10.0.2 via iTunes. So a question, did you all update via wifi? Is this a corruption of the wifi version of the software?

Work-arounds did not work for me.  Called Apple support and they had me do an erase/re-install.  Good news is that my iPad no longer turns wifi off.  Bad news is that my backup did not work (Cannot Restore Backup) and I tried 2 different backups that were in iCloud.  I had to reload all my apps and settings from scratch.  If you go this route, I suggest doing a USB backup to iTunes rather than iCloud.  Maybe that will work for you.

My first update was via wifi. I then went in with USB and backed up everything. Then I updated using iTunes. Still doesn't work

I had this problem too for the last few days.   I tried everything from reset to airplane mode etc.   However I did get it to work finally but I am truly not sure what fixed it.  Airplane mode worked but this is something that shouldn't be used to make your wifi stay on and not turn off automatically.  Finally I tried to turn my Cellular on and it seem to be stuck between a rock and a hard place.  I was able to get it to turn on, and I turned it off after 5 minutes.  I went back to wifi and set it to my network.   IT WORKS.   Its been working very well now for 2 hours.

I spoke to Apple on the phone on October 1st and they were kind enough to send me a new iPad Pro. I received it today and I sent my almost new iPad Pro to them. The new one works perfectly but I'm very leery of updating it. I will wait on doing that

Having the same problem since updating to latest iOS, wifi turns itself off every 10 minutes, tried the fix by turning on Airplane mode, then enabling wifi and wifi has stayed on for over 1hr so looks promising.

I don't think I'd want to go so far as to exchange my iPad Pro but I can get it to work for the session by using the Airplane Mode idea.

Yeah me too I even called Comcast and they gave me a new network name and changed all the settings and it still did it.The only thing that helps is keeping the Wi-Fi on plus the airplane mode and then Wi-Fi stays on.

I just updated my OS on iPad Air 2 and my WiFi keeps cutting off. I also have problems with the swipe to turn off feature, never had a problem before the update.

I have the same issue. Thanks to all who have replied for their suggestions.

I turned off the wi fi assist button as suggested.  I also did the resets.  Those weren't enough, but they helped for a while.

Now I do the following. It has worked for a couple dozen on/off cycles, including times when the wifi was on all day. It has worked on two different networks.

    1. Turn the iPad on.  The wifi does not come on automatically, although it did before the upgrade.

    2. Turn cellular data on. In about 30 seconds the wifi will turn itself on, as if by magic.

    3. Turn cellular data off. The wifi stays on, and behaves as desired.

I have exactly the same problem you have! So reset network settings can solve the situation? I cannot delete any app, the auto lock doesn't work. Good to know I am not the only one with this problem.
