You mentioned Safari crashing in your device list. If that is the case, this is a known issue and Apple is working on a fix. This article summarizes some of the problems with the current version. Disabling Javascript in Safari helps but this sacrifices functionality with the web browser.

Until Apple has a solution I'm using

1.- CloudMagic as my main email client. Manage 4 email accts and use Mail to clean Junk & Trash, just easier for me.

2.- Chrome and Mercury as my main browsers (in CM you can choose Chrome instead of Safari for the links) ,

3.- Fantastical as my suplementary calendar and

4.- TunnelBear as my VPN connector.

This has been working >90% for over a month so have made my iPad Mini 4 useable again until, perhaps sometime this year, Apple fixes iOS.

    Cheers

Thanks for getting back to me. To unfreeze my email and safari I have to clear history & web site data in Safari.

    Cheers

    HI Andres,

Thank you for taking the time to write down all the options. I really appreciate it. I'm not techie..so it will be trial and error..the funny thing is that iOS 9.3 hasn't affected my iPhone 4s..so I'm able to use it to communicate.

    Cheers

I was just called by Apple, Ireland, re my email to Tim Cook on all this mess related to hyperlinks etc affecting Mail, Safari, links, and more.

I was asked for more details on the problem as well as my temp solution for 4 aspects of the problem, a case was opened for me and was told that they are aware of this major problem afecting thousands and that they have a strong team dedicated to solving it.

I chided him for Apple not showing their face anywhere in their own community threads!

That Apple users expect their devices to behave just like when you use a fridge, you open it-use it-close it. Don't know nor care about the working guts!

He'll return my feedback to Tims office. Felt better after this.

    That's all for now folks!

    Hello Snowy96,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

From your question, I understand that hyperlinks are not behaving as expected after updating to iOS 9.3. We know how frustrating situations like this can be and we want to make sure your devices are working as expected.

iOS 9.3.1 was recently released. Performing this update should resolve this situation.

If hyperlinks don't open in Safari, Mail, or Messages after updating to iOS 9.3 - Apple Support

    Cheers!
