Q: Unable to write IPTC metadata to originals in Aperture 3.6

I'm using Aperture 3.6 on OS X El Capitan.

When i try to write IPTC metadata to originals i receive the following error...

Screen Shot 2016-03-28 at 11.23.26 AM.png

I have tried preparing permissions when opening aperture.

The images in question are mostly JPG's.

I should note that i'm using a referenced library system, as i have over 50,000 photos.

The library and the originals are both stored on an external USB 3 drive.

Aperture 3, OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

Are there any movies in the group of files?  Trying to write the IPTC data to a movie file will give this reject notice.

Try to identify the image files that cannot be modified. Do it in small groups, so you know exactly which of the files is giving the error message. It should work for JPEGs, but some other image file formats do not support to write IPTC.

If you can isolate one of the files, check the image format.
