Q: Safari not working

Safari won't load beyond the initial search.  Once on the screen with search options, no pages will load and eventually the screen freezes.  This happens on my iPod and iPhone 4S.  Only updated my iPod to the new system.  iPhone is still version 9.1.  I've reset, turned off safari in iCloud, cleared all history.  Nothing seems to work!!

iPod touch, iOS 9.3, null

Figured out a fix!  In Safari Advanced Settings, turn off JavaScript.  Then power off phone and restart!!

Ive gathered the appropariate information from AppleCare on how to addresss this issue appropriately.

The temporary fix is to follow these instructions:

    1.  Perform a hard reset on the device (Hold down the home button and the on/off button until you see the black screen).

    2.  After successufully hard resetting the device check your hyperlinks in Safari to see if they respond.

If they don't, you need to turn off JavaScript on the device:  Settings > Safari > Advanced > JavaScript.

    3.  If this combo doesn't resolve the issue, the official instruction is to keep your device up to date in case a future release fixes the issue.

    Hello KarCal7,

Thanks for using the Apple Support Communities!

From your question, I understand that hyperlinks are not behaving as expected after updating to iOS 9.3. We know how frustrating situations like this can be and we want to make sure your devices are working as expected.

iOS 9.3.1 was recently released. Performing this update should resolve this situation.

If hyperlinks don't open in Safari, Mail, or Messages after updating to iOS 9.3 - Apple Support

    Cheers!
