Hyperlinks do not work

Hi! It's a common issue and there's currently no permanent fix.

Try disabling JavaScript under Settings - Safari - Advanced.

Apple is aware of the issue and will soon release a fix.

Until Apple has a solution I'm using

1.- CloudMagic as my main email client. Manage 4 email accts and use Mail to clean Junk & Trash, just easier for me.

2.- Chrome and Mercury as my main browsers (in CM you can choose Chrome instead of Safari for the links) ,

3.- Fantastical as my suplementary calendar and

4.- TunnelBear as my VPN connector.

This has been working >90% for over a month so have made my iPad Mini 4 useable again until, perhaps sometime this year, Apple fixes iOS.

how to fix broken ios 9.3 safari/mail links bug:

1) find and uninstall booking.com application, if you have it

2) wait at least 1 hour, bug is gone. maybe you need to reboot once

to reproduce bug again: install booking.com application

I do sincerely doubt it's the booking.com app, simply because the odds of the number of people here having the issue also ALL having that app is pretty slim.

It's an issue with Javascript with Safari and mail, which is why disabling that helps in some instances. In others the 'fix' is the work around to use another browser until Safari works again.

I was just called by Apple, Ireland, re my email to Tim Cook on all this mess related to hyperlinks etc affecting Mail, Safari, links, and more.

I was asked for more details on the problem as well as my temp solution for 4 aspects of the problem, a case was opened for me and was told that they are aware of this major problem afecting thousands and that they have a strong team dedicated to solving it.

I chided him for Apple not showing their face anywhere in their own community threads!

That Apple users expect their devices to behave just like when you use a fridge, you open it-use it-close it. Don't know nor care about the working guts!

He'll return my feedback to Tims office. Felt better after this.
