OS X El Capitan = Cannot record on ProTools 10 & 11

EL Capitan = only problems. Why did I do the update I do not know. I have only found problems. I have display bugs in pro tools 10 & 11.

What is worse, I cannot record in either of both softwares. Message: "Unable to create a record file for one or more audio track. Check disk allocation and drive permissions". I am in immediate need to solve this problem. Or go back to my oldest OS X if such amazing and unlikely thing is possible.

MacBook Pro (Retina, 15-inch, Early 2013), OS X El Capitan (10.11.4)

It's major regret, no doubt about it.

Never EVER update your system without checking compatibility first. I would even say hold on so called 'security updates' until you know they're safe. Patronising bit out of the way.....

Do you have a clone of your drive before you updated to El Capitan? Or a time machine backup?

If not, have you considered 'upgrading' to pro tools 12?
