Q: Ripped CDs not transferring correctly

I've just gotten a new iPod and I don't use Apple Music. I ripped three CDs onto my itunes library, direct from the CD. After transferring them to my ipod, I found that it had not transferred certain songs. The same thing is happening with music I have purchased from iTunes in the past. What is going on?

Could the songs be there, but just not where you expect them? Perhaps the CDs are part of a compilation and the Artist & Album Artist are different and therefore. split-up. If that is the case, this should show you how to resolve this issue:

I Only have three albums on there, by the same artist. The titles are there, just greyed out so you can't select them.
