Workaround to copy and paste a link in Messages

I found a workaround to copy and paste a link in messages. Hold down the text before the one with a link. Select More. Tap on the message with the link that you want. Untap on the one you initially held down. Select forward button in bottom right hand corner. Now hold down to select all and copy link. Paste in Chrome/Safari. I'll be using Chrome until they do an update since I can at least hold down in Chrome and get Open in New Tab or Copy URL.
