Safari up to date

Keep getting messages from sites regarding security issues - my Safari software is not up to date. I am running System 10.7.5 (maxed out on this Mac Pro 1,1). What are my options (use Google or Foxfire)?

Switch to a product such as Firefox.

Thought that might be the answer. From my research, looks like Safari 6.1.6 is max for the OS 10.7.5 on this old MacPro. Is that the situation with this old timer that has served me well?
