I have installed Security Update 2016-002 twice, but the App Store still shows that I need to install it. Why?

Did the app store prompt you to restart the computer? Have you restarted your mac? Can you explain the process by which you installed the update?
Go to the menu while holding down the option/alt key and run System Information. In the report, look under Software/Installations to see if the install shows there.

I did restart the computer. The security update still shows up as needing to be installed.

Thank you -- when I do as you suggested, I do not see the Security Update 2016-002 as installed.
So should I try again?
What did System Information show? Did you try to hide the update?
Eric: when I hold down the "option/alt" key and go to "system information and "installations," it shows that a number of the installations were completed on March 24th. But there is no record of the Security update on the list. I did not try to hide the update. Don't I still need it? The App Store shows that the installation was completed (below the area which says I still need to do the update)
Eric - I just went an clicked "Install" one more time on the App Store and the Security Update now shows up under the system information and installations. On the app store it shows that I have now installed the 2016-002 security update four times. At least this time it appears to have happened -- and the App Store no longer shows that I still need to complete the update. Thanks for your help.
