I'm hoping someone can help as a friend changed my 4 yo daughters wallpaper on her iPad Mini and now we can't find the picture to put it back? I thought it would be in her photos but its not?? HELP!! She is not happy..... 😟

Was it a personal photo or one of the built in wallpapers?
If it was set from webpage or something like that, then i wasn't saved to camera roll.
If it was the original wall paper ir's gone. Usually you have to google ipad wallpaper, save a photo to photos, then use it for your wallpaper. Did they delete the wallpaper from both the lock screen and the home page ?
Yes it seems to have disappeared from both. We had a personal pic of our daughter as the wallpaper. I would have thought it would still be in photos but it is an old one. If i restore from back up would that return it?
A personal pic. If I restore from back up will it come back??
I'm tempted to say yes but I'm not 100% sure. If you restore from backup you'll lose anything from that day forward.
Is there anyone that you may have sent the photo to? Ask them to send it back?
I have asked someone but they don't have it!! Think I'll just try the restore from back up?? That's if I didn't click sync when I plugged it in to check if the pic was there on the computer?? ARGH!!! Thanks anyway for advice; its appreciated. 🙂

How about a Facebook or Dropbox account ? Maybe even in a sent email. Might as well cover all bases.
Would you believe the iPad must have synced automatically when I plugged it in. So now the only way of knowing is going into my time machine and restoring my computer back to the day I know it was there?? On the off chance that will work?? Any ideas?? Its doing my head in!! 😕
Unfortunately I'm the last person to ask, I don't even own a computer. Any info I would give you would be wrong.

I do not understand how you can have a desktop pic that is NOT on the device from which to load it up... changing it should not "lose" it from its storage place
On computers, you CAN see a pic on the web, right click, then choose "Set as desktop background/picture" = it then is downloaded "somewhere" and set as the Desktop pic
Maybe just not looking in the right spot?
