Try using Photos>View>Show Sidebar.

Your iPhoto events are located in an album named, are you ready?, iPhoto Events.

It will definitely be easier to find, and you'll have an easier time orienting yourself in Photos if you made the sidebar visible, just as Ferd II  suggested.

Actually it is not an album - it is a folder named iPhoto events - albums hold photos - folders hold albume or other folders

Meant to say "...are located as albums in a folder..."

and under Albums in the sidebar
