Hi, I am new on Final Cut X 10.2.3 (and video editing as well). When I try to import my carefully edited Photoshop files
they all looks terrible in the viewer window but looks ok as thumbnails in the event window. Oversaturated with a steep
S curve. Final Cut creates new black and white points. Icc profile missing? I am running Final Cut on a separate start
up disk with OS X 10.10. 5. Otherwise a work mostly in OS X 10.6.8. I work with stills. What is wrong with my FCP-X?
I have a MacPro 2008 2,8GHz /Nividia Geforce GT 120 512 MB

Video's color space is significantly different from print or graphics. You may be using CMYK color space in Photoshop and that must be converted to RGB. The thumbnails are RGB so, yes, they will look fine.
Do you know how to use the vectorscope and waveform? They display video information which is quite different from the histograms you are probably familiar with in PS.
