activate family cloud without card

Hello,

I try to activate my family cloud from Mac. I am not using any card for purchases, so the account does not have it specified. I am using "None" for the purchases.

Now I would like to simply share my calendar with the same settings. Systems, keeps on asking for the "Valid payment method" which is "None" for me and how I would like to have it set up.

Would it be possible to enable family cloud at all without using a credit card?

Thank you,

M

If you are enabling iCloud Family you are also authorizing your kids to use iCloud for purchases.

When you set up Family Sharing, you'll be asked to confirm that you agree to pay for purchases initiated by the family members you invite and that you have a valid payment method on file. Valid payment methods for setting up Family Sharing include credit cards and debit cards.

LACAllen is pointing you on the right direction for sharing a calendar amount multiple people. In your Calendar app Control (right) - click on the calendar you want to share and select Share Calendar... from the contextual menu:

User uploaded file

Then enter the email addresses of those you want to share the calendar with:

User uploaded file

This will share the calendar on their Macs and mobile devices.

iCloud: Share a calendar with others
