Does anyone have experience with Poser and an iMac?

I'm a PC User, thinking seriously about getting a 20" iMac next year, when/if I get some extra money.

Poser is a 3D art program that I use extensively. Here's a link for anyone interested.

I have the PC version of Poser, but would buy a Mac version of Poser 7.

Poser users by content to install into Poser. My concern is making the transition with this content from PC to iMac.

One store sells the content in either Mac or PC versions.. I could likely arrange to get the Mac version of the stuff I'd previously bought.

All other Poser-related stores sell their merchandise in zip format. I assume iMacs can handle zip files with stuffit?

I have backed up all my original Poser content onto DVDs. Will the iMac be able to read those DVD's? Or should I copy all that stuff onto an external hard drive? I assume an iMac can read a hard drive formatted in NTFS for Windows XP?

My Poser stuff is the most significant concern I have if I make this room. I'd like to take the time to get it right.

I'd appreciate your input.

So how do you manage that? Do you have both an iMac and PC access the same hard drive?

I will likely keep my PCs around.. but will use the iMac most of the time... I have 3 external hard drives.. One has Firewire or USB available, while the other two have only USB.

Should that work?

I may just network everything. Will the iMac and PCs see each other with minimum fuss?

By the way, if you're interested, I have a site and forum dedicated to Poser and DAZ|Studio. I write tutorials for both programs.
