Q: Can AppleCare transfer from stolen iPhone to new iPhone?

I was robbed at gunpoint and kidnapped for an hour on Sunday. Among the stolen items was my 6-day-old iPhone 6s.

Can AppleCare now cover this new iPhone or am I again out of luck?

Sorry to say but AppleCare will not replace a stolen device. If you paid for it with a credit card some cards offer insurance, may be worth a check. I suggest following the steps here:
