Q: iTunes Library Disappeared!

My iTunes library with over 60G of songs is all vanished.  This happened after the last update.  I followed this link (If you don't see your content after you update iTunes - Apple Support) to resolve the issue but it didn't work.  2 questions:

1.  Can anyone help please?

2.  Is this a typical error when someone updates iTunes?

Thanks.

About as typical as breaking a leg when you go skiing. It happens on occasion to a small percentage.

Our main resource for help would be to recommend that article to you.  If it does not work you need to explain to us carefully at what stage it didn't seem to work.  Otherwise we are just wildly guessing.  It has worked for hundreds (thousands) of others for the past 15 years so if it isn't for you we need to know why.

Thanks Limnos - I think the issue is resolved - I had put all the songs on iCloud and noticed in the preferences the iCloud Music Library box was unchecked.  I checked it and it is downloading the music.   Could it be that simple or do I need to do something else?

    Thanks again.

If the files were still stored on your computer iTunes may now be downloading duplicate files when it doesn't have to.
