Q: Transfer photos from ipad

My Ipad mini was synchronised with my mac which I erase and sold. I have all my photos on my ipad but not in Icloud. (30gb of photos) Is there any way I can retrieve this pictures?

If I click sync with Icloud it will delete all my photos and only retain about 5 gb which was my old storage (I now have 200 gb)

In short the only device where I have my photos is my Ipad mini...any ideas? Is there a trick to send them to Icloud?

Have your photos been synced to your iPad using iTunes Photo sync as described here: Sync photos to your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch in iTunes - Apple Support ?

iTunes Photo Sync is only oneway. You can get the photos to the iPad, but the photos will not be saved to the camera roll and thus, you cannot download them to a computer. If you want to do anything with the photos on the iPad, duplicate them and save the copies to the camera roll. Then you can edit them or share them, or download them to a computer.
