how do I edit Medical ID on my iPhone?

I am able to edit/add only limited info into Medical ID on my iPhone, but unable, for example, to add emergency contact. When I touch it, I am directed to Contacts, then I locate the individual I want, but there's no next step -- to confirm or otherwise. (I have an iPhone 5S) Please advise... Nate

This info didn't really address the specific question/issue that I have. See my original post. I've tried numerous times to enter name/phone number of my son as an emergency contact, but when I'm in Contacts and have his entry, there's no further step. I'm trapped in Contacts and then have to return to my card and the entry for emergency contact is still blank. I've even tried entering the info "by hand" but I'm always routed to Contacts. Suggestions? Nate

Health App > Medical ID tab > Edit (in the upper right) > Go down to "add emergency contact > start typing name (at the top) > select contact > relationship > (relationship chosen > Done (upper right corner)

At some point in the above process, are you saying it just stops? Sounds like you're not getting to the "Relationship" window.

I was trying to enter info in Medical ID on Contacts/My Card but it appears that Medical ID is the same in the Health app. However, I've taken exactly the same steps you propose, but when I entered my son's name, his contact info appeared but there is no "relationship > relation chosen" -- only his phone numbers and linked contacts. Thus you're right: not getting to the "relationship" window. Suggestions...

Did you try this?

Health App > Medical ID tab > Edit (in the upper right) > Go down to "add emergency contact > start typing name (at the top) > select contact > pick which phone number you want to use > relationship > (relationship chosen) > Done (upper right corner)

You can repeat the above steps and add several contacts (I have 6 listed in mine). That includes your wife and son.

Ah, and that was the (omitted) key! Thank you! I needed to tape the phone number, and then indicate relationship. I was under the impression that detail, e.g. the entire contact entry (name/phone/address et al.) would appear specifically in the emergency contact field. I appreciate your patience and doggedness at getting me answered! Thanks much! Nate
