Q: Exported and deleted movie manually, uploaded again, but iMovie doesn't recognize
Hi,
Last night I deleted some video's of my iPad to make room for a iMovie film.I exported the files using Windows (automatically download new files). And than manually deleted some of the biggest movie files of the iPad (so I went into the visible iPad folders using explorer). Unfortunately I deleted the wrong files. So when in iMovie the project I got the yellow marker on all video files. During export Windows changed the filenames from IMG_1234.MOV, IMG_1501 to 300.MOV, 301.MOV etcetera. With my Macbook I synced the three deleted movies with my iPad again. iMovie sees the movies now in my Photoroll, but it doesn't recognize the files in the project (where I need them of course).
I can't seem to export the iMovie project to my Macbook to continue to edit there (cause there's no video in the project).
I can't seem to link the project to the right video's, because the filenames changed and probably the original location of the files.
I don't have a backup. I only have the original files exported to a Windows machine.
Is there a way to link the project with the video's again??
Does iMovie only look at the original filename or is there more to it. To get the original filename I have to manually change it for sixty times (i figured out the orginal file name should be somewhere between IMG_1595.MOV and IMG_1663.MOV...) and sync it every time, check it in iMovie every time...
Hope someone can help!
