Unable to move audio to desired location

I want to move around my audio and place them at certain positions. However, that's not happening (unlike FCP7). Some of the audio files seem to be rushing at positions of their own. Screengrab attached.. I have encircled the clips I am having problems with, in red, and the direction of the arrows show where I am trying to place it, without any success.
