Q: Sometimes, the audio files move with video files

Sometimes, my audio files on the timeline move with my video files. I have detached the original audio from the video clip and have laid a new track of voiceovers beneath these. The new audio file has linked itself with the video one (with the help of that little vertical line- which I have encircled in red) and every time I try to move the video clip around, the audio clip moves with it automatically. Is there any way to solve this other than lifting the video clip from the timeline. Can anybody help?

Thanks!

EEither attach the audio to another point that doesn't move, or hold the grave/tilde key as you move the video.

First of all, why are you detaching audio from all the clips?

You seem to be deliberately trying to make the audio go out of sync with the video. While I understand you may want to do this at times, detaching audio as a general practice is unnecessary. It creates a messy timeline, and plenty of opportunities for messing it up.
