I want to connect acoustic guitar line to macbook pro

I need to connect a mic and a guitar (separately) to my Macbook Pro in order to get better quality from garageband. Can you advise about compatible audio linkage?

You would want to connect using a third party Audio Interface. Read this Apple Knowledge Base article
