Stains in the screen of Macbook Pro Retina (Staingate)

Hi,

For a long time I been having stains in my Macbook Pro Retina and and couple of days ago I just find out that there is a website that some users have been set up to inform to Apple about this anomaly in the quality on the screen of Macbook Pro Retina laptops.

This is very annoying and it does not have a solution. However I have seen that in the www.staingate.org website all the users with this problems are elegible to a full exchange of the screen.

Do you know if there is a time limit for a full exchange of the screen? From the Facebook page "https://www.facebook.com/groups/607572909386595/" and www.staingate.org there have been users with more than 3 years with full screen replaced.

Thanks for your advice.

I have the same problem, and i didn't know about this staingate until last week when i saw an article on Mac 9to5 that Apple have extended the warranty on the screen problem. So i went in to my local verified apple dealer with my Late 2013 MacBook Pro Retina. And he typed in the serial number, and told me that they fix the screen up to 4 years after purchasing date. And i bought it on November 6 2017, and today is November 15, so 9 days late, and he wouldn't do it for free for me. Is this how difficult apple is? Its not like the stains got on my screen after November 6 this year. It happen over a year ago.
