Q: After adding a light in Motion my system crashed and now the hard drive won't boot.
While working in Motion 5 and following a tutorial I clicked a button to add a light and it asked me if I wanted to switch to 3D mode but I wanted to stay in 2D and continued. The spinning color wheel showed up and now Motion was not responding. I force quit the computer by holding down the start button for 5 seconds. When I restarted my Macbook Pro the hard drive could not be found. I ran Disk firstaid and it said the disk was fine. I restarted again and the recovery window came up. When I tried to reinstall El Capitain the hard drive was now READ only. I noticed when I restarted again the system software task bar got almost halfway through the initialization task bar and then restarted the process again and then shortly following that the recovery window opened up. I also tried doing a safe boot by holding the shift key and shortly after waiting a bunch of code showed up on the screen then disappeared and the reboot started all over. When I ran disk first again and clicked on INFO my 1tb hard drive that had over 800gb of free space was now completely devoid of any disk space. I am out of answers and am turning to the community. Any thoughts?
