Battery drain issues OS2.2 and iOS9.3 - After workout tracking

Every day, I have the following routine. Gym at 530a, home by 630a, then off to work at 8a. I use Gymaholic during my morning workout. I finish the workout. Save it then go about my day. I do this 5-6 days a week. Maybe 1 day cardio which I use the Apple Workout App. My issue has been severe battery drain. Sometimes dead by 11a. I sent my 42mm watch off for repair, it came back with no hardware issues. I had tried unpairing and re-pairing. Setting up as a new watch. Nothing worked, so a repair was in order. During the repair time, I paired my wife's no longer being used 38mm watch. Setup as a new device, no backup restore. And guess what, same issue. I have even tried a hard reset on my watch after the workout to clear out any apps that may be running in the background.

Regular usage outside of workouts has been the same. Anyone having issue with their watch after tracking a workout? It seems to be that gymaholic might be the perp, which is terrible as its the perfect workout watch app for me.

Appreciate any feedback

Hi

The issue may relate to how workouts are managed (started, ended, saved) via Gymaholic and/or to how the app syncs data afterwards.

With Strava (for example), it is important to end the workout on the watch rather than on the iPhone. The watch may otherwise believe that a workout is paused or in progress, leading to battery drain.

You may find it helpful to contact the developer of Gymaholic:
