Q: Wireless Bose Headphone 2 volume issue

I recently updated my iphone 6 to iOS 9.3 and have purchased Bose's latest wireless headphones (SoundLink® around-ear wireless headphones II) and I noticed that when I receive a notification (via the notification sound effect), the volume of the music playing via iTunes gets noticeably (and pleasantly) louder (as I find the wireless headphones don't give quite the volume I was hoping for as I like louder music, so I turn up the music close to full blast). The music stays extra loud and clear after the notification sound plays and remains so until the next song plays (via myself jumping to a new song or iTunes jumping to the next song on its own, at which point the volume comes back down a bit).

Any idea as to why this is so? I don't think it's the headphones themselves that are the issue... I am most certain this is an iOS issue. Also, Now that I have heard my headphones extra loud and clear due to this, I would like for this level of loudness to be accessable all the time (so I don't need to set the volume full blast and yet be able to hear the music with extra punch! If this is indeed an iOS issue, giving this extra loudness as an option in a future update would be swell!

Cheers
