Any experience on Apple products signed by someone else?

Hi, I am trying to keep calm but I haven't found any posts that have soothed my worries! Okay, basically I ordered the Iphone 6S but I had it shipped to a family member (my packages never had been stolen there) since I didn't know what carrier Apple would use. Anyway, my family member was not there on the first try but on the second try, she was waiting and I received a text by Apple that it was delivered. I looked and thought 'odd' because it was signed by "Serrer" but my last name has a different letter at the beginning. I asked the family member and she said "No" which then I contacted Apple and they said an investigation would occur and I would receive an email in 48 hours. My question would be what are the odds of Apple sending a new replacement since the signature doesn't match my last name? I am worried because it was signed...Also, I am a little shocked that Apple isn't sending a replacement since the signature doesn't even match my last name or anything.

So, it was supposed to be delivered to your family member, who waited for it, but never got it even though someone signed for it?

I can't say if they'll replaced it or not, it likely depends on what the investigation shows. Did the carrier follow their rules or did they leave it elsewhere...basically where did the system fail.

Good luck and I hope you get your phone or a replacement

I didn't expect any replies 😮 but thanks for those who did. I didn't mention in my post that my family member contacted UPS and as soon as she said that she was going to complain, they started investigating and asking the driver what happened. The driver didn't try to ring the door bell or anything and said that someone in an old car from New York with proper identification had signed for the package. The story sounds very bogus to me. Anyway, I am happy to say that Apple is sending a replacement and I had requested to send to my billing address (but the request didn't go through and it's still going to where it got stolen 😟). I had it all planned out since I now knew that UPS was the carrier and I have a UPS account where I redirect the packages to an Access Point for pick up. Hopefully, everything goes well this time around.

I don't know if you receive notifications when I reply directly or reply within the forum. My answer is that the package was signed and the driver told the customer service agent that someone with an old car with a New York (I don't live there) license with proper identification had signed the package. Anyway, the story sounds very bogus on my end. However, good news is that I'm receiving a replacement but bad news is that it being shipped to the same address 😟.

There is no "direct" reply to other users. Anything you post can be read by anyone looking at the thread. However, if a user has email notifications turned on, the system will send an email stating there's been a post and they'll receive an email for every post made by anyone. Because of that, I have all email notifications turned off as my inbox was overflowing.

My package was the last delivery of the day (after 6 PM) - and his iPhone was not delivered at all. Although that has been straightened out, it was a long and frustrating day.
