How do I unlock my IPad Safari windows so I can browse again?
During the past week, at some point, I found I cannot click on most links within many typical web search pages, mostly Google, Yahoo, etc, search pages...though some sites are still available(!) I just clicked on news sites within Yahoo personal page that worked (USAToday, CNN), but the little browser bar shows a "Lock" and usually when I try to click on something the whole page then locks up.
- I tried several online options to unlock (including holding top tab until the Off slider becomes, then holding the button at the bottom under the window for 10-15 seconds). At this point I can now unlock a bit to move page around and the iPad isn't always freezing up altogether---but the browser is also not working properly.
- Not every page locks up--usually "major" ones: Amazon still works for example, and eBay mostly unlocked with some of my efforts--but not Google or my email links. (This also happens when I try to click on a link within an email message---the whole page still locks up.)
- I did update my iPad this weekend with the latest system, IOS 9.3 --but that hasn't helped.
Incidentally, my iPhone has caught the same problem--but later.
iPad 2, iOS 9.3, spread to my iPhone :-(
