I accendentaly downloaded 'Mediadownloader' ad ware and must remove it. Bit I am afraid of the uninstall programs out there, many are malicious themselves. Can anyone tell me how I should proceed on my Mac running OS Captain and Firefox?
I think I have an answer. I contacted apple support and was advised that a safe solution was to use 'Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for Mac. I took there advice and I am not getting any more popup ads so seems to have worked. It did not remove the application program icon from my applications however so I trashed that. Looks like it worked. Time will tell.
