Passcode

MY husband's IPAD downloaded and installed iOS 9.3. He chose the option of NO Passcode, but the IPAD insists on a passcode to open. What the h*ll do we put in if we didn't select a passcode?

Are you sure that the you are not being given the option to enter a passcode? If that is what is happening, you should be able to tap on Skip or Next to move onto the next screen. If that's not the case, is it asking you to set up a passcode? You can set one up and then delete it in Settings>Touch ID and Passcode after you activate the device.

If it is insisting for a passcode and you never set one, the only way to unlock it is to restore it.
