How do I get Siri to work?

When using my iPhone 6 Plus, Siri doesn't hear anything I say as if it is broke. I am running the latest iOS 9.3, however this problem has been occurring for some time now and I am just now trying to get it fixed.

I have tried turning off Siri and restarting, turning off dictation, and I have restored the phone only to find out when I tried to set it up, I couldn't get past the set up phase Where you say "Hey Siri".

It's only Siri though. The mic works because when I press the microphone on the keyboard to speak my text, that works.

Can anyone help me with this problem, or is there no fix and I need to send it in?

If you live anywhere near an Apple Store, they have an audio test they can run that tests each mic. I believe there are 3? They all do very specific tasks, and if they fail, the device will likely be replaced under warranty.

the "Hey Siri" function will work if you plug your 6 Plus into a power source. It only works without power on the 6S and 6S Plus.

Especially the sections:

If audio from video recordings sounds faint, or Siri can’t hear you, make sure that the microphone near the iSight camera—on the top, back corner of your iPhone—and the receiver isn’t blocked or covered.

If you've tried these steps and people still can't hear you on phone or FaceTime calls or Siri doesn’t hear your requests, contact Apple Support.

I know this. Siri does not hear me at all. I was just using the "hey siri" as an example. When I hold the home button and talk she doesn't hear me then either. I believe it's a mic problem and is what the other two people that replied were getting at as well. Thank you though.
