• QUIT safari
•hold down OPTION key and go to the GO menu in Finder
• go to Library
•
open the preference folder
• delete the file
~/Library/Preferences/com.apple.safari.plist
• Go back to go, holding down OPTION and go back to Library
• delete the file
~/Library/Safari/bookmarks.plist
(NOTE: THIS WLL REMOVE/DELETE/DESTROY YOUR BOOKMARKS FROM SAFARI)
if you have a TM backup you can restore them from a previous time when they were not compromised [if they were compromised , otherwise the file may be corrupt and should not be used any longer.
• Hold down the SHIFT key and open Safari
for all other browsers see the developers instructions on their web pages.
